0230.375VXP is a low voltage dual-element fuse that combines the basic time-current characteristics of a dual-element fuse with the versatility and enhanced capability of a micro-switch. The fuse is suitable for use in low voltage DC control and power circuits.
Application Field
0230.375VXP facilitates the protection of low voltage DC circuits used on a variety of applications such as DC wind turbines, photovoltaic-connected systems, automotive systems such as emergency shut down or power interrupt protection, and nuclear power plant security system. Its application range is 550V 3A-630V 1-20A.
Working Principle
The operating principle of 0230.375VXP is based on time-current characteristics of the dual fuse with asynchronous over-current protection. It consists of two elements, an independent thermal element and a magnetic element, that interact with each other to achieve an internal trip indication. When an overload current in excess of the rated current passes through the fuse, the electrical heat generated by the current is applied to the thermal element which generates heat and breaks the connection. On the other hand, when short-circuit occurs, the current passes through the magnetic element and causes it to move, which in turn interrupts the fuse connection.
At the same time, the built-in micro switch can be used to detect abnormal conditions such as electrical faults or open circuits, and has the function of indicating that the fuse has operated. Once the fuse has been operated, the switch can be reset, allowing the fuse to be reset and re-used.
In addition, 0130.375VXP also has the advantages of high fault current limit, fast and reliable action, easy mounting and wiring, and a long service life. It has become an ideal choice for the protection of low voltage DC circuits, such as wind turbine circuits, solar photovoltaic systems, automotive systems and nuclear power plants.
