Fuses
027201.5V application field and working principle is closely related to the fuse technology. Fuses are safety devices, which are designed to protect electrical circuits, by allowing sufficient current to flow for normal operations, while interrupting excessively high currents. The device terminates electrical functioning, or circuit operation rapidly and automatically. In essence, the fuse is an inexpensive safety device used in electrical and electronic circuits.
Fuses are made from various materials depending on their ambient temperature ratings, such as ceramic, plastic, metal and glass. Most fuses contain a metal strip or wire that melts when an overload or short-circuit occurs. When the current flowing through the device exceeds the rating, the fuse will break the circuit, interrupting the flow of current and protecting the circuit from overload. The most commonly used fuses are ceramic fuses, generally rated from one ampere to twelve amperes.
Fuses for 027201.5V are made of ceramic material that is fired at a temperature above the limiting temperature of the safe, normal functioning. This ceramic material is then cut into strips, and the strips are connected into a loop.
