0325007.HXP fuses are designed to open when the current exceeding the rated current. Excessive current will cause the fuse link to overheat and eventually it will melt, thus breaking the circuit and protecting downstream components. The fuses are designed to carry nominal current, and at a high level, they are designed to carry a maximum current for a time period before opening. The time required for the fuse to open depends on the current and the length of the fuse. The longer the fuse, the longer the time it will take for it to open. When current flows through a fuse, the components of the fuse will reach a thermal balance. This is done in order to generates an equilibrium between the heat and the cooling capacity of the fuse. This means that the fuse elements must be able to absorb the heat generated by the current without compromising the fuse function and performance. The breaking device is usually a ceramic tube filled with high resistant iron powder and a spring.
