03266.25VXP fuses are specialty devices designed for use in telecommunications, power supplies, and a variety of other applications. Working Principle of 03266.25VXP Fuses

03266.25VXP fuses are thermal and magnetic devices that work together to provide overcurrent protection. The thermal fuse uses a patented MOV-based design that has a low thermal impedance. This makes the thermal fuse very sensitive to overcurrent conditions, which causes it to trigger and disconnect the circuit much faster than standard thermal fuses. The magnetic TR fuse is composed of a coil of steel wire that is wound around a ceramic core. The steel wire creates a magnetic field that is influenced by the presence of current. When the current rating of the circuit exceeds the rating of the magnetic fuse, the magnetic field collapses, creating a large surge of voltage which triggers the fuse and disconnects the circuit.The combination of the MOV-based thermal and magnetic TR fuse provides superior protection compared to either type alone. The MOV-based thermal fuse is very sensitive to overcurrent conditions and can trigger faster than either type alone.
