Fuseholders
A 03590002Z application field and working principle is a device used for connecting a fuse to an electrical circuit. This can be accomplished using either a blade connector or a screw type connector. This type of fuseholder can be used for many different types of fuses, such as automotive, industrial, and marine types. The main purpose of a fuseholder is to securely hold the fuse in place while still allowing the fuse to be easily removed when required.
The fuseholder is typically constructed of plastic or metal depending on the type of fuse it holds and the amount of current it is rated for. There are two different types of fuseholders; blade and screw. A blade type has a slot in it that is made to hold a blade style fuse, whereas a screw type has a hole in it that is designed to hold a screw style fuse. Generally speaking, the blade type of fuseholder is used in automotive circuits while the screw type is used in industrial and marine applications.
When using a fuseholder, the proper size for the type of fuse being used needs to be used. The fuse needs to fit snugly in the holders but must not be too tight or it may damage the fuse in the event the fuse were to blow. In most cases, the fuseholder should be mounted near the main power supply so that the fuseholder can be easily accessed in the event the fuse needs to be changed.
Once the fuseholder is installed, the fuse should be inserted into the fuseholder. The fuse should be placed in the container so that any short circuits that may occur will cause the electricity to travel through the fuse and be diverted away from the load. After the fuse is securely in place, the fuseholder can be installed into the circuit and the fuse will then be ready to protect the circuit.
In addition to protecting the circuit, the fuseholder can also be used to provide indication of a fault. There are two basic indicators provided by a fuseholder; red and green. Red indicates that a fault has occurred and the fuse has tripped. When the green indicator is lit, it means that the fuse has not tripped and that the circuit is still working properly.
When a fuseholder is used for circuit protection, it is important to ensure that all parts are securely connected and properly mounted. If not, the electrical current may arc across the components causing the fuse to trip prematurely and potentially damaging the circuit or components.
A 03590002Z application field and working principle is typically used for protecting circuits from excessive current. This type of fuseholder is available in two different versions; screw and blade. By using the proper fuseholder and selecting the correct size for the type of fuse being used, both electrical circuits and components can be safely protected from electrical damage.
