USB, DVI, HDMI Connectors

Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectors are one of the most widely used computer peripherals. The USB connector is a small rectangular-shaped connector with five pins. It is used for connecting peripheral devices such as keyboards, mice, scanners and external hard drives to a computer. DVI Connectors

DVI (Digital Visual Interface) connectors are used to connect video devices such as computer monitors, projectors and HDTVs to a computer. DVI connectors are available in two different versions – DVI-A and DVI-D. DVI-A is an analog version that is used to connect analog video devices such as old CRT monitors. DVI-D is a digital version that is used to connect digital video devices such as LCD and LED monitors.

HDMI Connectors

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connectors are used for connecting digital audio/video devices such as Blu-Ray players, digital cable boxes and HDTVs to a computer. The HDMI connector is a small, square-shaped connector with 19 pins. HDMI connectors are also available in two different versions – HDMI 1.3 and HDMI 2.0. HDMI 1.3 supports data transfer speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbps), while HDMI 2.0 supports data transfer speeds of up to 18 Gbps.
