0950-0-15-20-71-14-11-0 is an electrical contact which is used for the application of transmitting signals or looping power in industrial and commercial outlets or panels. There are three main parts which make up these contacts: the contact tip, the metal contact plate and insulation bushing.

Spring Loaded and Pressure

These contacts are equipped with a spring loaded system and internal pressure which helps to open and close the contact and reduce the surface contact pressure on the contact plate in order to avoid any abrasion. The spring loaded system also helps to release the stress due to power transmission and prevent further wear or tear. The internal pressure helps the contact to keep its shape and stay in place, making it able to carry out the task with high efficiency.

Working Principle

When the contacts are connected, they will be energized and the contact tip will induce a current flow between the contact and the bushing by means of electrical induction. The current flow will open the contacts and create an arc that will both clear out any dust and also create an electrical current. When the contacts open, the spring loaded system will disengage and the pressure will be released to prevent wear and tear. Finally, the electrical current will be transmitted through the contact plate and insulation bushing.
