Basic Type

Shielded Type

The angle and impedance of the transmission line of the shielded type is better, and the noise in the circuit can be reduced. The shielded type has the same pins as the basic type from 9 to 50 pins. In addition, it can also be connected with cables.

Working Principle

The most commonly used D-sub connectors adopt the simple connection structure. The male and female interfaces are both equipped with contact protrusions. When the two connect, the contact protrusions have electrical contact. At the same time, the contact protrusions of the female interface also have a certain elasticity to ensure the credibility of the contact. At the same time, the connectors are enclosed in a shell to prevent outside interference and prevent dust from entering.

In addition, some D-sub connectors also adopt the screw connection structure. The structure of the connector is relatively complex. Plug-in connectors are inserted into the receptacle and held in place by crimping. The receptacle is ultrasonically welded to the housing. Then, an insert is turned into the body cavity to provide a screw connection. Compared with the simple connection structure of the straight-through type, the connector has the characteristics of fast connection and good electrical conductivity.
