0ADAC4000-BE Application Field and Working Principle
The 0ADAC4000-BE is a DC high speed automotive fuses designed for protection of multi-segment system of automobile circuit. It has application field in electric vehicles, small fire trucks, hybrid SUVs, and small-sized electric vehicles.
The 0ADAC4000-BE fuse is able to quickly and effectively respond to electrical short circuits, currents overload, or electrical overpressure and over temperature, and is helpful to protect the circuit and prevent an overload from electrically overpressure or over temperature. So it plays an important role in automotive circuit.
Working Principle
The 0ADAC4000-BE fuse consists of two equal parts to work together. One part is the pure fuse element and the other one is a ceramic holder with necessary contact terminals and a thermally sensitive element built-in to monitor any over-temperature conditions. All these components help the fuse to protect the automotive circuit from electrical short circuits, currents overload, or electrical overpressure and over temperature.
The fuse element, which is an electrical conductor, provides the electrical connection when the circuit is in normal condition. Once an electrical short circuit, current overload, or overpressure occurs, that generates heat and then melts the fuse element. This interrupts the electrical connection, protecting the circuit from the damage. After the fuse melt, the fuse holder has a role to remind technician to replace it in time.
The unique thermally sensitive element incorporated in this fuse is designed to sense any over temperature conditions that may occur along the conductor. If the temperature in circuit is too high, it will be detected by the thermally sensitive element and the fuse will be automatically disconnected from the circuit.
