1.5KE400A is a series of bi-directional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diodes, specifically designed for protection of data and signal lines. It is used for applications where transient voltage is expected, but the clamping protection must be provided in both directions with an extremely low capacitance. The 1.5KE400A is available in a 6-pin DO-213AB package with general purpose, surface mount, type design. The diode has an operating temperature range from -55 to 125 degrees Celsius. The current then decreases as the voltage drops to the diodes clamp voltage and the protection is then provided. The diode then rapidly recovers to its quiescent state, or the state at which the diode was before the surge occurred.
