1-746610-0 is a series of rectangular connectors for board-in and direct wired applications. Connectors of this series are designed for use in industrial, telecommunications, and other applications that require reliable data and power connections. The 1-746610-0 rectangular connectors feature an overall width of 10mm and a height of 6.2mm. They are available in single or double row configurations. The single row configurations are available with two to eight contacts and accept wire sizes from 24 to 28 AWG. The double row configurations are available with four to sixteen contacts and also accept wire sizes from 24 to 28 AWG. The connectors are mounted to the PCB using two #4-40 UNC screw posts.

The connectors feature two opposing mating faces that contact each other either directly, or via contact pins. The contacts are constructed from gold-flashed phosphor bronze and are rated at 7 amps per contact. For a secure connection, the connectors are designed with positive latching action which prevents unintentional disengagement.

The operating temperature range of the connectors is -40 to +105C. They are also rated for up to 5,000 mating cycles, making them suitable for high-density applications that require frequent mate and un-mate operations. To protect against ingress of contaminants, the connectors are designed with an IP67 rated protective seal.
