Power Line Filter Modules provide attenuation and excellent EMI performance in a variety of instrumentation and control applications. 10ET3 filter modules offer three types of two-stage attenuation, low-pass, high-pass, and notch, all housed within a single-stage metal-enclosed module. With EMI performances up to 15dB, they are suitable for controlling and maintaining clean signal paths in power systems as well as communication lines.
The 10ET3 filter modules have a lightweight cast aluminum housing (often referred to as the ‘inner box’). This housing consists of a tuning and a ‘conformal printed circuit board. To ensure optimal performance, the module is fitted with an antistatic coated metal-enclosed lid. This housing provides excellent protection to the internal components, while allowing access to adjust tuning.
The 10ET3 module has a two-stage attenuation circuit that is suitable for a wide range of power line applications. At the first stage, the filter attenuates high frequency signals in order to reduce EMI/RFI interference. At the second stage, the frequency response is tuned to ensure that the desired signal is passed through without any distortion or attenuation. The signals are subjected to three types of filter: low pass, high pass and notch.
The low-pass filter is used for frequency trolling and high-frequency attenuation, while the high-pass filter is used for high-frequency emission control. The notch filter is used for frequency rejection in order to prevent the formation of hum or noise at certain frequencies. All three filter types can be adjusted to meet the specific requirements of an application.
The 10ET3\'s filter module also features a variety of settings which allow it to be tailored to different applications.
