Power Line Filter Modules are components that are typically used in electrical and electronic circuits to suppress interference from electromagnetic noise generated by the circuitry itself or external sources. The 120TYT8-2 module is specifically designed to provide harmonics filtering from 50Hz to 250 kHz and reduce differential and common mode noise. The filter module is composed of a central pole, distributed capacitance, connecting coil and ground plane. At the center of this pole, an audio transformer is installed. The capacitors act as an RC network and are the main component of the filter to establish a resistance-to-capacitance ratio. This helps reduce the effects of high frequency noise.
The filter module also includes integrated components such as a diodes, transformers, chokes and relays. The diodes helps prevent the reverse flow of current and are connected to the input and output of the filter. The transformer helps in reducing differential and common mode noise across the board. The transformers also act as an inductive load, which helps reduce the power demand and keep the cable runs short. The chokes, typically inductive, used to suppress high frequency noise. Relays are also used to protect equipment from surges and overloads.
These modules are designed to operate at different audio frequencies ranging from 20HZ to 250 kHz and supply stable voltage over the entire operating range and control harmonics as while also improving power quality. In addition to the wide range of frequency, they also have a low input and output impedance. This helps to reduce EMI and RFI and makes the power line more efficient by reducing energy loss.
