The 122329-HMC701LP6CE Evaluation Board & Kit includes the HMC-701LP6CE field-configurable VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) which offers adjustable frequency, tuning voltage tuning range, and maximum frequency of 5.12GHz. This board has a variety of different ports, including four Port RF input/output with SMA connectors; four x SMA connectors for frequency reference, VC control voltage, and phase modulation signal inputs, and one x MT connector for reference temperature compensation signal input. The VCO also supports analog frequency indicators with a range of 3.6GHz to 4.45GHz, providing a wide range of frequency settings.
In addition, this board also includes 5V and 6V regulators, and it is equipped with a two-wire Digital Interface (DI) for programming the Oscillator’s frequency range. The board also provides programmable calibration points, for adjusting the center frequency. The DI interface also enables user control of the VCO tunings via application software, or through external manual controls.
The board also includes an HMC711LP1CE receiver-transmitter module, which is a flexible, programmable single-pole VCO. The HMC711LP1CE Oscillator provides a 5V output, and a tuning range of 600kHz to 6.4GHz. This module offers a wide range of options for RF communications, from low frequency HF applications to microwave navigation systems. It also supports a wide range of modulation techniques, including FM/AM, QAM, PAM, and PSK.
The HMC971LP3C-EVB Evaluation Board & Kit also includes an HMC831LP8CE 12V Oscillator, which provides an 8V minimum PLL reference voltage. This Oscillator is designed for applications requiring high-frequency reference such as GPS receivers, navigation receivers, high-speed digital communication, and general-purpose RF systems. It features a tuning range of up to 6.4GHz, and can be fit with a wide variety of PCB designs, including SMT and BGA options.
