Inlets and Outlets
1301440055 belongs to the power entry connectors’ family and more specifically to the inlets and outlets. It is a two-phase inlet, insulated, suitable for both standard and alternate IEC configurations. It offers a non-removable cover with incorporated green LED pilot light, which indicates system power-on condition. This inlet accepts 13.5mm mounting hole with the help of a 2-part clamping yoke. It is constructed from UL 94V-0 thermoplastic material and features brass contacts with nickel finish. The product is certified to UL 1977 and CSA C22.2 N°83.
Modules
1301440055 is also a power entry connector module variant. It is based on the core components of 1301440055 inlets or outlets and features integrated, space-saving, snap-action switch. It is basically a complete IEC 60320 power entry module package with fuse holder, neon switch indicator and LED indication, mounted on a 4.7 x 4.7 inch (119.4 x 119.4 mm) panel and retained by six 6-32 UNC screws. Besides, you may opt for an optional snap-in ferrite filter to reduce EMI noise or enter the pole with thermal protection.
Working Principle
The working principle of 1301440055 inlet is based on the flexible thermoplastic material field proven design (UL94V-0 flammability rating). It includes silver plated brass contacts (SPCB) with mechanical travel on all three poles. The contacts are so designed to avoid arcing by positively engaging before providing electrical contact on both AC and DC. The inlet\'s design further includes robust \'dovetail\' clamping yoke for quick mounting in a 13.5mm hole and maximizing the retention of the cable.The snap action switch in the 1301440055 modules is based on the same principles, featuring sure, positive-action contact blade that provides minimum contact resistance at all times. It is designed to operate up to 125 VAC.
