As a result, a Reverse saturation current is generated between the emitter and base which allows electric current to flow from the collector to the emitter, thereby achieving conduction. During conduction, the voltage at the collector and emitter terminals shifts accordingly. This results in a voltage drop across the transistor’s base-emitter junction due to which current flows through the transistor. Electrons start moving from the collector to the emitter and further reflect back from the N-type material to the P-type material. This phenomenon is called recombination and it allows BJTs to function properly.In conclusion, BJTs are commonly used electronic components and have various applications in both digital and analog circuits. Their working is based on the principle of a P-N junction with the target of attaining an electric current between the collector and emitter terminals.
