A bridge rectifiercan be composed of either 4 diodes or of a single IC (Integrated Circuit) known as a 4-diode network. The 4-diode network is widely used for builds which need a high-power and or high-efficiency rectifier, and it’s also considered less cumbersome since it’s a single unit.
Bridge rectifiers also come with a variety of different voltage and power ratings, known as 130MT and 140KB. The number 130MT indicates the maximum efficiency of the rectifier in translating AC pulses into usable DC power, whereas the 140KB rating indicates the maximum peak power the rectifier can handle.
