Working Principle

The 142-302LAG-RB2 snap action limit switch works on the principle of electromechanical relay. The switch consists of an actuator, set of contacts, and a coil. When the actuator is pressed, the contacts open and the coil is energized, allowing electrical current to flow through the contacts and activate the switch. The current flow then allows the coil to de-energize and the contacts to close, which causes the switch to return to its “normally closed” position. When the current is removed, the actuator releases and the contacts open, allowing the coil to re-energize and the switch to return to its “normally open” setting.
