ARINC inserts, also known as 143-1907-001 backplane connectors, are engineered for use in rugged commercial communication applications such as aircraft and military support systems. It offers excellent contact reliability and high-speed performance, as well as the highest level of immunity to EMI, RFI and ESD pulses. The 193-1907-001 is a rugged connector, designed for the harshest of environments, with its aluminium housing and rubber gasket providing extra protection from moisture and vibration.The working principle of the 193-1907-001 connector is quite simple. The ARINC inserts are placed between the circuit board and the mating connector, thus allowing the current to be directed directly from one connector to the other without crossing any other metal components. In order to mate two connectors the ARINC inserts must be inserted into the two boards and then mated. The mated contacts are held in place by the contact retention force, or ‘CRCF’, which is generated by the interference fit of the mated contacts.The 193-1907-001 connectors are designed to support data speeds up to and beyond 3.2Gb/s, enabling extremely high-speed applications such as data storage and Ethernet networking. They are also designed to withstand high shock and vibration levels as well as temperature ranges of -40°C to +105°C.
