1478607-5 is a Snap Action, Limit Switches. It has field of application in premises and features with a wide body of installation, as well as LED indicator for signal reporting. The contact points are designed for two-stage connections, along with SPDT contact blocks. In terms of working principle, the switch takes advantage of a snap action mechanism. When an external force is applied to it, the switch can snap between two separate configurations of contact points for the actuation and deactivation of a circuit. This snap action allows for the actuation of electrical disconnection and reconnection, allowing the user to control the flow of electricity between two locations. The snap action mechanism utilizes a number of component parts working together to control the switching of the contact points. A spring arm creates a counterforce to the external force, keeping the switch in the same position until a certain level of force is exceeded. Once this force is exceeded, the switch quickly snaps to its opposite position. When power is supplied to the switch, the spring arm is moved and the external force compresses the spring until it reaches the point that it can move no further. At this point, the switch is tipped over the edge and the contact points move quickly towards the opposite configuration. This movement creates the instantaneous break in the connection, allowing the user to control the power flow. In addition to this mechanical component, the switch also utilizes a pair of insulation plates to separate the contact points from the switch’s body and an arc shield for structure. The insulation plates are composed of an insulating material that prevents any electrical current from reaching the body of the switch, protecting it from damage.
