D-Sub Connectors

D-Sub connectors, commonly known as DB connectors, are a type of electrical connector popular in the computer industry, typically seen on the back panel of a PC used to connect peripheral devices such as mice, keyboards, and printers. The connectors are identified by a D-shape, hence the ‘D-sub’ name. The D-sub connectors are available in two common sizes, DB25 and DB9, which refer to the number of pins along either side of the connector. Other sizes are also available but are less commonly used.
