Presses

The most common type of press is the hydraulic press, which consists of a cylinder and a number of levers; when pressure is applied to the lever, it presses the material into the die or mold. The amount of pressure required to press the material into the desired shape depends on the material type and thickness.

Other types of presses include manual presses, pneumatic presses, and gas presses. Manual presses are typically used to press smaller items and require range of force applied by hand. Pneumatic presses use a compressor to apply the required amount of force, while gas presses are powered by an internal combustion engine and are used for larger and heavier items.
