Fixed Inductors

Fixed inductors are passive electronic components that store electrical energy in the magneticfield created when electric current passes through them. The 1539M17 inductor is a non-polar, axial-lead fixed inductor with a frequency of 50MHz and an inductance of 17uH. 1539M17 Working Principle

Fixed inductors work by storing energy in a magnetic field. Electromagnetic induction is the process by which an inductor\'s core stores, sends, and receives energy from an electrical circuit. A magnetic field is created when electric current passes through the inductor. This magnetic field will induce an electromotive force in an electric circuit. The intensity of this force is in proportion to the changing magnetic field. That is the indication that energy is being stored in the inductor\'s core. An electric current passing through the inductor generates a magnetic field that expands outward from the core of the inductor. When this field collapses, it induces a reverse voltage into the inductor to help maintain current flow.

The 1539M17 also has the ability to act as a filter to reduce noise and overshoot in the signal. The inductor works to reduce the signals that are in a specific range of frequencies, which are harmonic components of the signal. This process helps to reduce the amount of power travelling through the rest of the system, thus reducing interference and making the circuit more stable.
