The device is also suitable for protecting sensitive electronic components from the effects of Transient Voltage Protection and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).The 15KPA43A is capable of dissipating up to 3000 Watts of peak power in the event of an overvoltage condition. It has an extremely fast turn-on time of less than 1 nanosecond, making it suitable for protecting high-speed signal lines from ESD events.The 15KPA43A diode works by clamping any voltage spike above its breakdown voltage. When the diode is exposed to a voltage spike, an avalanche breakdown occurs and the excess voltage is diverted to ground. This allows the protected circuit to remain unaffected by the transient voltage.
