Film capacitors are composed of an extremely thin dielectric film, isolator and conductor layers. The dielectric film is usually composed of polypropylene, polyester, teflon or polyphenylene sulphide, which provides the structure with high capacitance density, excellent surge resistance and excellent dimensional stability. 168682J100A-F capacitors are the latest generation of this technology and have excellent electrical characteristics, low DF, and high measuremkent stability over temperature and time.The 168682J100A-F capacitors are a non-metallic film capacitor with electrostatic insulation and are typically used as a bypass capacitor in amplifiers and as a decoupling capacitor in power supplies. The capacitance of the 168682J100A-F is typically greater than 95 % rated voltage and the capacitance changes very little over temperature and time. This means that the same capacitor can be used in multiple applications, such as amplifier bypassing, signal filtering, and voltage smoothing.The internal structure of the capacitor consists of an insulating substrate, which comprises two thin layers of the dielectric film and two metal layers on each side of the dielectric film. The metal layers act as the electrodes and the dielectric layers provide insulation between them. The lower effective series resistance (ESR) of the 168682J100A-F can reduce the ripple, noise and interference, as well as improve the device\'s reliability by reducing logic level shifting.The working principle of the 168682J100A-F is based on the storage of electric charge on the surface of the two metal layers. When an a.c. voltage is applied, the charge stored on the metal layers will be alternately reversed, resulting in a rapid exchange of the charge. As the electric charge passes through the dielectric, the energy is stored, allowing the capacitor to maintain a level of charge that can be used to filter noise or to provide a steady voltage or current. Because of their excellent electrical characteristics, the 168682J100A-F capacitors are an excellent choice for applications where temperature and voltage stability is a big concern. The lower effective series resistance (ESR) of the 168682J100A-F means that the capacitor can withstand high ripple currents without any degradation in its performance, making it an ideal choice for power supplies or any application that requires high ripple current performance. In addition, due to their larger surface area, 168682J100A-F capacitors also have much lower self-inductance losses than conventional electrolytic capacitors, making them ideal for high frequency switching power supply applications. Another advantage is that the 168682J100A-F can also be used as a decoupling capacitor to reduce the noise and voltage spikes in the load.Overall, the 168682J100A-F capacitors offer excellent electrical characteristics, improved reliability, and better ripple current performance over traditional electrolytic capacitors. The 168682J100A-F capacitors are ideal for use in high frequency switching power supplies, amplifier bypassing applications, signal filtering and voltage smoothing applications.
