Working principle: 171334J630Q-F Film capacitors is constructed of two thin pieces of plastic films, one of which is etched with a thin metallic layer onto which electrodes are connected. The central electrode may be embedded with an insulating material such as ceramic or polystyrene layer. These two pieces of films are separated by a dielectric layer of electrostatic material and are wound together in the form of a roll.The operation of the film capacitors is the same as the other type of capacitors, that is when the voltage is applied to the electrodes, the negative charges accumulate on one side and the positive charges on the other side. This creates an electric field between the electrodes and the electrostatic capacitance is formed which is measured in Farads.
