Once the pins are inserted completely, the connection is secure and will not come apart unless properly disconnected by using the appropriate tools.

The standard D-Sub10 is used to connect keyboards and mouse to the computer. In the automotive industry, D-Sub connectors are used in safety critical areas, for example, for connecting air bag components.
