Tantalum Capacitors
Tantalum capacitors, or commonly known as Ta capacitors, are a type of electrolytic capacitors. These capacitors use tantalum metal as the anode, which is covered by an insulating oxide layer that acts as the dielectric layer for the capacitor. The other side of the capacitor, called cathode, is made of a material like manganese dioxide that acts as the electrolyte. Ta capacitors are similar to other types of electrolytic capacitors, but they are able to offer distinct features and features greatly superior to other traditional capacitors.
