Power Line Filter Modules
1EB3 power line filter modules can be used to smooth out electromagnetic interference (EMI), prevent high-frequency noise from entering the power line, reduce "hum" or other "noises" caused by power line transients, and allow any low-frequency signals to pass through. These power line filters can be permanently installed in an end user device or in dedicated chassis. The 1E B3 was developed to accommodate a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics to professional-grade medical and industrial equipment.
Application Field
1EB3 power line filters are extensively used in consumer electronics, medical and industrial equipment, military and aerospace applications, and general electronics. Some of the applications these filters are most commonly used in include LCD TVs, LED and LCD displays, test equipment, 2-way radios, medical imaging systems, high-end audio electronics, radio frequency (RF) receivers, and electrical equipment controls.
Working Principle
The 1EB3 series of power line filters operates by intercepting high-frequency and low-frequency currents that may otherwise cause EMI noise or voltage ripple problems. These filters use capacitors and inductors to provide the blocking function, which enables the filter to block a wide range of frequencies from either end of the power line while allowing power to pass through at a lower frequency. Due to the use of a capacitive/inductive filter design, these filters are able to provide excellent performance even in highly noisy power lines.
The 1EB3 power line filters are designed to work with a wide variety of power lines including DC and AC power lines, as well as varying power line frequencies. These filters are able to work with power lines from as low as 10Hz to as high as 10kHz. The 1EB3 filters are capable of reducing substantially the level of EMI noise that can otherwise enter the power line, thus ensuring reliable operation of the equipment that is being powered.
