Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT) are devices used to protect electrical systems from lightning and other transient over-voltage events. A Gas Discharge Tube Arrester (GDT) is composed of a series of specially designed electrical components that are used to protect electronic and electrical systems from electrical surges and over-voltage events. The components of a GDT Arrester include an inductor, a capacitor, and a gas discharge tube or spark gap.
