Working Principle

A single crystal oscillator input can provide up to 20 independently adjustable, low-jitter outputs. It also supports multiple CMOS, LVDS, LVPECL, and CML output pairs with adjustable or fixed fanout ratios.

The clock generation generates multiple output clocks from a single frequency signal or multiple signal inputs. It contains a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal generator and multiple output divider circuits. The PWM signal generator has different frequency scaling which allows to change the PWM output frequency. The multiple output divider circuits consists of independent divide-by-N counters that are used to divide an input signal into multiple output clock signals. It also features an integrated low-noise, low-jitter programmable PLL which can be used to re-create an extremely low jitter reference clock from a wide range of input signal sources.
