Fixed inductors are passive components used in electronic circuit applications. The2316-H-RC (Radiallead Inductor) is a type of fixed inductors specifically used in oscillator circuits, filters, voltage stabilizing circuits, and current stabilization. In particular, these particular components are widely used in medical electrical devices, aerospace, and telecommunications equipment, amongst other industries.
The 2316-H-RC provides greater heat dissipation in an effort to reduce the temperature increment that the inductor experiences when connected to the current. The inductor also acts a means of preventing the emission of radio frequency interference in cases when it is used at high frequencies. Depending on the application and design of the device, either wire wound or ferrite cores may be used for the inductor. Both of these core types offer high inductance with low resistance and the ability to, at operating temperature, maintain a stable DC field (as long as it remains within its experimental window). Most of the inductors made are round type, however some, depending on the specifications, may also be made with different shapes or sizes.
The 2316-H-RC inductor operates by accumulating a magnetic field whose strength is directly proportional to the amount of current running through the inductor. This accumulation of field is known as electromagnetic induction and is the underlying principle of inductors. The inductor is constructed with two terminals, usually identified as terminals A and B. Terminal A is then connected to the power source, while terminal B is connected to the load and acts as the output terminal. As the current runs through the inductor, it accumulates a magnetic field, which in turn acts on the current flowing through the inductor, resulting in a resistance. As a result of this resistance, some of the energy is lost, commonly referred to as eddy current in photonics applications.
The 2316-H-RC inductor is mainly used in radio-frequency (RF) applications and can be found in an array of different forms, such as high-latency ICs, transistors, flip chips, and micro-chip diodes. Its primary purpose is to provide a low-cost solution for reducing interference and power loss in high-frequency applications. Additionally, inductors are also used to create different types of filters that are used to block certain frequencies or lower the peak frequencies.
