Working Principle of 24AA256-I/MF
The 24AA256-I/MF works using a 2-wire Serial protocol, where the EEPROM is connected to a host processor by two wires. The host processor sends a request to the EEPROM via the SCL (Serial Clock Line) while the data direction is indicated and controlled by the SDA (Serial Data Line). The 24AA256-I/MF can be read, written and controlled using this single 2-wire communication.
The EEPROM offers control operation using its control registers, where the control register determines the type of operations available. The control registers offer two operations, namely Read and Write, where the read operation allows the host processor to read data from the EEPROM and write operations allows the host processor to write data to the EEPROM. In order to write data to the EEPROM, the host processor must first provide the address of the starting location and the length of the data.
