25KB30 Application Field and Working Principle

Working Principle of 25KB30

When the circuit overcurrent occurs due to the overload or short-circuit fault of the load, the 25KB30 will act as a switch. By connecting the core of the fuse with the transient silver-made contact, it completes the circuit and carries the electric current so as to avoid the damages caused by the over-current. During this procedure, the heat generated by the current running through the circuit will make the metal jacket in the fuse melted. The heat will make the fuse expand rapidly and disconnect the core from the contact, thus cut the electric current. At last, the overcurrent will be blocked and the primary purpose of the fuse, i.e. the protection against the overcurrent, will be fulfilled.
