Due to their higher contact density, they are commonly used in most memory and high-intensity graphics cards as well as servers and industrial controllers. Standard Connectors, meanwhile, are suitable for low speed and relatively low power applications, such as in some audio systems, USB hubs and devices, VGA ports and DVI ports.In terms of working principle, Hard Metric and Standard Connectors both use electrical contact pins and a mating pair of female pins to connect two systems.
