In this article, I will organize information about the application field and working principle of these display modules.LCD Module
The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is a flat display module commonly used in an array of applications from watches to TV monitors, calculators, cell phones, computers, and more. It consists of a series of cells with a liquid crystal control and electrode control. LCD has a fairly simple configuration and is composed of a glass substrate which is responsible for holding and displaying the picture. This substrate has two major layers, one is the transparent electrode layer and the other is a thin-film transistor on the back of the substrate.An external power source activates the liquid crystal molecules to transmit or block the light between the two layers. As a result, corresponding light and dark areas appear as an image when the crystal molecules are activated and deactivated. The display can then be used to show moving and static images.OLED Module
Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) is the new generation display technology that is replacing traditional LCDs. OLED models come in many forms, from simple LEDs to flexible OLED strips. It uses organic components that emit light transporting electrons for display instead of the internal liquid crystal material that is used in LCD modules. They work on the principle of OLEDs as conducting organic layers transmitting electrons for the generation of light.When an electric current is applied to the terminals of the OLED, the electrons from one terminal and the electrons from the other combine with holes from the other and creates emission of light. These OLEDs can then be used to generate displays of text, images, and more. They use less power than LCDs, have great contrast levels and wider viewing angles, and are flexible enough to be bent or rolled.Graphic Module
Graphic display modules are used to display moving and static graphics. They consist of a microcontroller, memory, and a graphical Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen. These display modules are used in a wide range of applications such as home automation systems, medical devices, industrial automation and more. Graphic display modules work by using the LCD screen to display the graphics. The LCD screen is composed of an array of pixels. The pixels are activated to display the graphics that are programmed into the display module by the microcontroller. The microcontroller receives input from the user and processes the data, which is then transferred to the display. Once the data is transferred to the LCD, the pixels are activated in order to display the graphics.Conclusion
