The 2SEPC820MX+TSS aluminum-polymer capacitor is a maturely developed product that has been widely applied in the fields of industrial controls, communication, instrumentation and other equipment. 2SEPC820MX+TSS aluminum-polymer capacitors feature an excellent temperature performance range of -55°C to +125°C and a high-current capability in a small package size. This makes them ideal for applications in fields requiring high-current capacitance.

The 2SEPC820MX+TSS aluminum-polymer capacitor consists of two electrolytic aluminum foil layers, each of which is covered with a dry polymeric film as dielectric. It also contains a conductive polymer matrix and bonded aluminum end-plates to support the capacitors\' external electrical connection. With its dry polymeric film, the aluminum-polymer capacitor can offer a low equivalent series resistance (ESRR), low noise and low ohmic losses, providing superior electrical performance over other aluminum based capacitors.

The working mechanism of the aluminum-polymer capacitor is based on the Faraday cycle. The current flowing through each foil in the capacitor causes chemical reaction of the electrolyte between individual layers of foil. This reaction creates ions moving between the layers, which creates electric charge flow between them. With voltage applied, the chemical reaction takes place and the Faraday charge is stored on the capacitor, in the form of POSCAPs (plasticized metal plate capacitors). During this process, the metal foil layers are held in place by the bond between the end-plates, preventing the metal foil layers from detaching.
