The LED module has an input voltage of 12 or 24 volts and includes a current limiting resistor. The power circuit also includes the option to use a latching or momentary contacts; the latching contact allows the light to be left on indefinitely, while the momentary contact is used to give a visual indication for a few seconds before it automatically turns off.

The 305W-BR28H-O is designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures, ranging from -20 to 55°C. It is also rated to be in a high-vibration environment; the housing is designed to withstand shocks of between 20 and 2000 Hz. This light is also designed with a self-resetting fuse, which prevents the light from getting damaged in case of a short circuit. The fuse automatically resets itself once the fault is removed, allowing the light to continue to function.
