The sealed design of 316516-2 protects against dust, dirt, water, shock, and vibration. It has a corrosion resistance up to 1000h at a 0.005g/l NaCl concentration, an electrical fatigue value of 5 × 10^6 cycles (which is quite high for such applications), and a maximum flash temperature of 125°C.
