In addition, it is designed to fit into a small package with a minimal power consumption.The VCO is designed with a low input impedance to improve output frequency stability. The Frequency Divider uses a complex programmable logic array (CLA) to divide the input frequency with up to 250 internal steps. As its name implies, a phase-locked loop (PLL) is an arrangement of components which attempts to "lock" its output to a particular phase of the input signal.A basic PLL contains three components: a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), a frequency divider, and a phase comparator.
