The oscillator circuit consists of two main parts: an amplifier and a frequency-determination circuit (FDC). The input signal of the 355NB5A34AR oscillator is applied to the base of the NPN bipolar transistor through the FDC. This input signal together with the bias voltage of the base generates a voltage gain feeding back to the base. This feedback signal is amplified by the transistor amplifier to form a positive feedback loop. As the cycle repeats, an oscillation is generated and the frequency of the square wave signal is determined by the FDC.
