The 36HN-2117 is an illuminated multiplex switch array indicator designed to provide visual status at a glance for a broad range of industrial applications. This panel indicator has the capability to house up to four indicator switches and three indicator lights in a single array, making it possible to monitor and quickly interpret the working status of the system at a single glance. This panel indicator uses discrete LEDs in a multicolor configuration with both steady and flashing options.

The 36HN-2117 uses a switching actuator with four contacts that are designed to make/break electrical connections automatically. The switching actuator is connected to the two common contacts (N) and to any one of the four individual contacts (A,B,C, and D) depending on the desired function. The four contacts are bi-directional meaning they can be used for either input or output. When the switch is closed, current will flow through the actuator and the switched-on LED will become energized.

Additionally, the 36HN-2117 has three indicator lights in the form of red, green and amber LEDs, each of which can support a steady or flashing pattern. For example, the steady LED can indicate whether the switch is open or closed, while the flashing LED can indicate whether the system is in an active mode or a standby mode. The indicator lights can also be used to indicate an issue with the system, such as a short or an overload. The indicator lights will remain off when the system is normal.

The 36HN-2117 is ideal for applications including motor control, circuit protection, and signal indication. It is designed for use in confined spaces or hazardous areas, and is UL listed for both indoor and outdoor use. It is rated to operate in temperatures of -22° to 185°F (-30° to 85°C).
