One of the most common used devices within this field of application is the 403R3C fixed inductor which has been developed and designed for low frequency oscillations. 403R3C

The 403R3C is a radial based fixed inductor which has been designed for low frequency applications. It can handle up to 300mA at a maximum of 25V, or 150mA at 50V for higher power ratings. Measuring at 16.3mm (L) x 6.5mm(D), the device is highly efficient and operates over a temperature range of –30 to +85℃. The 403R3C contains ferrite cores with a self–supporting metal wire windings which are electrolytic copper cased with a 4µH resistance, allowing for a wide range of applications including:

Working Principle

The 403R3C inductor is based on the principle of inductance, and the law of inductance states that an inductor will resist any change in current, by inducing a voltage that is proportional to the rate of current change. The403R3C contains two windings which are connected in series with each other. When current is applied to one winding, the other winding is magnetized, producing a voltage which opposes the applied current.

The 403R3C uses this principle of inductance to help reduce electrical noise in circuits, and also to operate as filters.
