It has a low current consumption of 1.5mA and a low overall acceleration of 12ppm/g.

This crystal was designed primarily for use in cellular base transceiver systems, such as GSM, TDMA, and EDGE, that have stringent requirements on size, power consumption, and spectral purity. It has also been used in frequency control applications including synthesizers, clock signal rotator, clock modulation, and frequency synthesis. Working Principle

The 416F37425ASR crystal oscillator have a working principle of a quartz crystal oscillator in SSi-SMD package. It consists of a quartz crystal disc cut at a 45° angle and two silver electrode shapes with a gold plating. The oscillator works by passing a low or high frequency AC signal between two electrodes on the crystal which vibrates the quartz crystal in the opposite direction creating the oscillating electrical signal. The quartz crystal vibrates or oscillates at a specific frequency, depending on the distance between the two electrodes, the size of the crystal and the type of material used in the crystal.
