The 4243-20 RF Directional Coupler utilizes the proven technology of a matched transmission line inserted between two terminals to measure forward, reverse, and cross-directional power in an RF signal path. This type of device reflects the perfectly matched transmission line\'s characteristic impedance to the incoming signal at port A. The energy at port C is reflected back as a signal with the same magnitude, causing the forward and reverse power components to be equal. The reflected power is then measured at port B.
The 4243-20 RF Directional Coupler has been designed to have a wide dynamic range to cover a range of RF signals from 30 MHz to 3 GHz and a nominal power rating of 40 dB.
