RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards The 4320-DKDB1 is an evaluation and development kit designed for radio frequency (RF) applications. It has an integrated analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for signal capture and can sample up to 50 MHz real-time signals in both the frequency and time domain. The Experiments Board has six (6) on-board channels with features including a level ometer, an RF switch for quickly connecting analog control signals to the Experiment Board, a built-in battery back-up for secure operation, and other features. The User port is expandable and allows users to connect their own hardware components.For development purposes, the kit includes an on-board reference design kit that includes a complete system reference design including a reference design platform and components and software modules necessary for developing and debugging applications. The software modules necessary for programming the kit board and the Experiments Board are the Atmel AVR Studio, Atmel FPGA Designer, LabWindows/CVI, and GNU ARM toolchain. The kit also includes an SDK and library for connecting to external components.The 4320-DKDB1 works on the ARM Cortex-M0 core, allowing up to 100 MHz clock speed. The processor provides instruction and data coherency with both 32-bit and 16-bit operation modes. In addition, it features high-speed I/O port that transfers data over both USB and Ethernet. For scalability, the kit board supports both Little Endian (LE) and Big Endian (BE) data formats.The kit board also supports a wide range of radio protocol and features various radio parameters such as output power, frequency hopping and frequency errors for the transmission and reception of data. It also has an onboard antenna optimization and calibration module that allows quick optimization of RF parameters for successful data transmission.In addition, the kit board supports system debugging with Atmel AVR Studio and Atmel FPGA Designer.
