It is also well suited for use in vehicles, elevators, solar systems, and electric buses.
The 4430.2551 Circuit Breaker comes with a variety of features and options to meet the needs of all types of applications. It has adjustable instantaneous and inverse-time-delay (ITD) settings that can be changed to provide the ideal protection and response for the application. It also features adjustable short circuit withstand current ratings, UL ratings, and temperature ratings. The 4430.2551 is available in three voltage ranges and is UL listed.
Working Principles
The 4430.2551 Circuit Breaker uses a thermal-magnetic trip unit to detect and trip the circuit breaker in response to excessive current levels. The internal trip unit includes an electromagnet and a thermal element. The electromagnet is energized when a certain amount of current or voltage is detected, which results in enough Magnetic Flux to open the contacts of the circuit breaker. The thermal portion of the trip is function is activated when excessive temperatures are detected, which will open the contacts of the circuit breaker.
The adjustable characteristics of the trip unit allows the 4430.2551 Circuit Breaker to provide a wide range of protection. The adjustable instantaneous (i.e. immediate trip) and inverse-time-delay (ITD) settings can be changed to provide the optimal protection and response for any application. The ITD feature allows the circuit breaker to delay the tripping time in order to allow higher levels of current to flow for a short period of time.
The 4430.2551 Circuit Breaker is designed to provide superior performance and protection for a wide range of applications. It is UL listed and comes with adjustable instantaneous and inverse-time-delay settings to meet the requirements of the application. It is available in three voltage ranges and is suitable for industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
