This is done by converting the electrical signal, generated by a sensor on the surface of the material being crimped, into a mechanical signal in the form of a regulated force pulse. This force pulse is then transferred to the material being crimped or pressed via a contact element, such as an anvil plate. The force pulse is then transferred through the anvil plate to the material being crimped or pressed, resulting in a very precise crimp or press action. The operation of the 458253-5 crimper is based on three main elements: the electrical subsystem, the mechanical subsystem, and the contact element. The electrical subsystem is responsible for converting the electrical signal, received from the surface of the material to be crimped or pressed, into a regulated force pulse. This regulated force pulse is then transmitted to the mechanical subsystem, which is responsible for transferring the force pulse to the contact element, such as the anvil plate.
