4TR Digital Logic\'s BIT2PIA is an evaluation board, offered as an expansion board, daughter card, that allows the designer to use the onboard transceiver transceivers with just two I/Os (input-output) to the primary device. The board allows for evaluation of the devices that the board that the transceivers are connected to with applications from military radar, automotive radar, 4G wireless devices, millimeter-wave imaging and intelligent transportation systems.The board, as an expansion board, daughter card, also allows for expansion of the existing communication system to increase the number of connected transceivers. This is especially beneficial for applications where the system needs to be able to communicate with multiple transceivers at the same time.The BIT2PIA is based on two Digital Logic\'s 4TR Digital Expansion board that has a fundamental building block. The I/O expansion board works in tandem with the transceivers connected to the primary device. It is based on a two-wire serial interface that allows for twice the speed when compared to traditional parallel interfaces. This allows for higher data throughput.The working principle of the board is that two I/O pins on the primary device are connected to the expansion board. The data is sent from the transceivers through the two pins which are then transferred to the expansion board. The expansion board then interprets the received data as digital signals with signal processing functions like automatic gain control and noise reduction. The data is then transmitted back to the primary device.The main benefit of the board is the increased speed of operation. As the bit rate is increased, the data that can be processed in a single cycle increases. This increases the amount of processing power available to the user. Additionally, the board can be used for development and testing purposes as it allows for the easy connection of the logic analyzers and FPGA debugging tools.The BIT2PIA is an expansion board, daughter card, designed to be an evaluation board for transceivers with two I/O lines. It provides a low cost and easy way to add extra transceivers to the existing communication systems or to develop new products with fast and efficient data transfer.
