FFC and FPC Connectors are based on the same general principle, which is the insertion of an electrical connector between two conductors. The electrical connector, also known as a flat flex cable, is inserted between the two conductors, forming a connection. The electrical connection is secured either through friction between the two conductors, or by using clips or other mechanical fixtures.The connector consists of two flat flexible substrates: one with many contact points, and the other without them. The contact points are arranged in a straight line, and when the flat flex cable is inserted between the two substrates, the contact points on the other side of the substrate touch the corresponding contact points on the first substrate.
